SUMMARY:The Producers
DESCRIPTION:We saw this production at the Menier in Jan 25 and loved it. We hope it will be just as much fun in a bigger space. For those who missed it! \nCritically acclaimed principals Marc Antolin\, Trevor Ashley\, Raj Ghatak\, Andy Nyman\, Harry Morrison and Joanna Woodward all return triumphantly for the West End production. \nThe first major London revival of Mel Brooks’ musical adaptation of THE PRODUCERS : based on the classic cult film\, the original Broadway production won a record twelve Tony Awards\, and skewers Broadway traditions\, taking no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an “equal opportunity offender!”. \nDown-on-his-luck Broadway producer Max Bialystock schemes with timid accountant Leo Bloom to create the biggest flop in theatre history – only to have it backfire spectacularly\, and with thunderous applause. \n

SUMMARY:Mrs Warren's Profession
DESCRIPTION:Why book? We loved Imelda in Oedipus last year. A phenomenal stage actress who will be on stage with her daughter Bessie Carter. \nDirected by Dominic Cooke (Clybourne Park at the Royal Court\, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Follies at the NT): \n“This famously controversial play was banned after publication by the Lord Chamberlain\, and promises an evening of classic entertainment from the playwright behind Pygmalion and Man and Superman. The show follows modern-minded young woman Vivie Warren\, who wants to become a lawyer. But her future is upended by the arrival of her estranged mother\, who has a batch of suitors in tow! Soon\, revelations about the source of Mrs Warren’s wealth – and the money that afforded Vivie so much opportunity – are aired\, but can Vivie begin to understand what her mother sacrificed to secure her family’s future?”

SUMMARY:Hamnet
DESCRIPTION:“Warwickshire\, 1582. Agnes Hathaway\, a natural healer\, meets the Latin tutor\, William Shakespeare.  Drawn together by powerful but hidden impulses\, they create a life together and make a family. \nWhen the plague steals 11-year old Hamnet from his loving parents\, they must confront their loss alone. And yet\, out of the greatest suffering\, something of extraordinary wonder is born.” \nSelling out ahead of its world premiere at the newly restored Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon this April\, Hamnet transfers directly to London’s Garrick Theatre for a limited run. \nThis new play\, based on Maggie O’Farrell’s best-selling novel\, adapted by award-winning playwright Lolita Chakrabarti (Life of Pi\, Red Velvet\, Hymn) pulls back the curtain on the story of the greatest writer in the English language and the woman who was the constant presence and purpose of his life. \nEmail us if you would like to be added to the waitlist
